Ms. Fancy Pants

Ms. Fancy Pants was adopted by Casey and Walker on 9-20-09, and, boy, was she glad. She really wanted so much more attention than she got here. She is an exceptionally beautiful cat. Casey and Walker had two other kitties, Princess and Romey, and they are getting used to Ms. Fancy Pants now and everybody is getting along. Ms. Fancy Pants is a pretty busy kitty, and likes to sleep with Casey and Walker for a while but then travels on to other places. She also likes to sleep in a box on the windowsill that they have put bedding in. She is always making the rounds and letting everybody know that, hey, I'm here! She's very vocal. She loves to cuddle. All the girls, Casey, Princess, Ms. Fancy Pants and Romey, love to hang out together, and everybody is getting along very well. We're so happy for Ms. Fancy Pants!

Allison

Allison (now Olive) has made a wonderful addition to the Padelopoulos family, adopted on 10-10-09. Mom Emma says that Olive has everybody wrapped around her little paw. She is very playful and very animated and is the center of attention, just like a newborn baby, says Emma. Olive is exceptionally playful and loves to sleep under a throw, showing that phantom Olive body. Olive loves to sleep with everybody, but she is especially loving and devoted to daughter Zoe, who is the one who really wanted to adopt a cat of her own. Looks like Zoe really picked the right cat. No mistakes there. And to think that two weeks before they adopted Olive, she was just a homeless kitty found in the yard of Cats for Life volunteer, Adrian. We think EVERYBODY involved, including Olive, has benefited greatly by this experience!

Misty

Misty (now Gracie) is a sweet cat who had to live the last several months of her life (before being adopted on 8-28-09) in a cage due to unusual circumstances. Boy, was Misty happy when Larry and Lori adopted her! Misty was to share the house with two other cats, Charlie and Molly. Misty was a little scared at first, and Charlie was rather fascinated and intense and a little smothering in following Misty around for a while, but now Charlie and Misty are good friends and they play together a lot. Molly is okay with it all but prefers to kind of sit back and watch. Lori and Larry really are crazy about Misty, and Misty is crazy about them. She's SO happy to have her own forever home and feels like she's lived with them forever. Mary Kay was quite taken listening to Lori's enthusiasm regarding their new addition, Misty. Yay for Misty!

Thumbelina

Thumbelina (now TC) was adopted on 9-17-09 by a wonderful lady named Terrye. Terrye lives part of her time out in the country and does horse and Yorkie rescue and stays very busy! Terrye adopted TC to be company for her and also for her kitten, Venus. TC and Venus are friends now, and TC is very special friends with her Yorkie, Mimi. They like to lick each other a lot. Terrye says TC is very energetic and there seems to be no place that she can't get to. She's also a connoisseur of fine stemware! TC also loves all the Yorkies at Terrye's and is a very happy kitty cat!

Sky

This is one of my favorite stories. Sky was six years old and had not had a very happy life at all living on the streets. Also, Sky did not seem very happy in the condo at Petco while she was up for adoption. Sky was adopted by Amparo and her family on 9-20-09. Amparo didn't speak English, but Sky's foster, Maria, speaks Spanish and was able to communicate with Amparo. One thing that Amparo said in her application that touched both mine and Maria's hearts is that she didn't like seeing Sky in "the box" at Petco. This is what Maria has sent me in her follow-up with Sky and Amparo: "I spoke to Amparo. She said Sky is doing very well. Her daughter calls Sky her cat since Sky has bonded with the daughter, and Sky spends most of her time in her daughter's room. Her husband also adores Sky. He said she has the prettiest white coat he has ever seen and that she looks so beautiful that she seems almost like a toy stuffed cat. Every night Amparo's daughter picks up Sky from the couch and takes her to bed with her. They also have an extra litter box, water bowl and food bowl in the daughter's room. Sky enjoys belly rubs and enjoys being carried by her younger son. Sky also enjoys laying on her son's computer desk while he does research on the computer. Amparo said Sky is the queen of the house and the whole family adores her very much." Thank you, thank you Amparo and family for making Sky the happiest kitty cat in the world!
