Cats for Life recognized by Memorial Examiner, a local community newspaper. Excerpt from article: "I've loved animals my whole life," Hendricks said. "Houston has a terrible overpopulation problem. We just want to save these animals' lives and get them adopted into loving homes." Hendricks is working on starting her own nonprofit, Cats for Life. "Raising public awareness is important to getting the animals adopted," she said. I don't think they're aware of all the stray animals in the city, of how many get euthanized," she said. "I think that would make a big impact."
