Meet beautiful Missy
Missy did not have a very happy life in her first two years, but we hope the rest of her life will be wonderful.
Missy was a stray kitten that was taken in by an elderly woman (Helen) and placed in a single room with another cat, Roosevelt, in around October of 2013. Helen was already about 88 and not getting around well. They had plenty of food and water, but Missy and Roosevelt didn't get much attention.
When Helen passed away, Mary Kay took in her remaining five cats, as she had promised she would do. Roosevelt and Missy lived in a room at Mary Kay's for about six weeks before being introduced into Mary Kay's multi, multi-cat household. Roosevelt adjusted well, but Missy did not, but after a few months she started doing really well. It had been a tough adjustment for this little girl, but now she loves to be in her foster's lap, loves to sleep with her, be with her as many hours of the day as possible.
We are looking for a home with a fairly experienced cat owner for Missy. I think Missy will just blossom even more with love and playfulness in the right home. Missy needs a quiet home without children, preferably a one or two-person household of adults. The new owners will be real winners, the owners having the kitty of their dreams and Missy having a loving, forever home.
If you would like to meet Missy, please contact Mary Kay at Cats for Life at 713-453-8621 or e-mail at mkhendricks1@comcast.net. Missy's adoption fee is $75. She has been spayed, combo tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV, all shots, dewormed and will be microchipped at the time of adoption.
