Hannah
Hannah

Hannah was adopted by Brenda and family on 7-27-13. Hannah was a little shy at first but is now running the house. She originally would hide in one of her "bomb shelters." Hannah is a lap kitty when it's on her terms. She sleeps in the game room where there are lots of toys and anything that a kitty cat could dream of. One of the dogs, Rufus, wants to play with Hannah, but she's just not quite ready yet. I'm sure she will be soon though. Hannah loves all the cheap stuff instead of expensive toys, like rubber bands and empty toilet paper rolls. Thanks so much, Brenda and family, for giving Hannah such a wonderful home. It warms all of our hearts to hear she's so happy, including her foster, Debbie.

Harley

Here's what Annette has to say about Harley: "Hi Joy Ann. Life is one big tummy rub at the Smith House! He is eating well and pooping etc like he should. When my husband and I are eating dinner... Harley drags his toy out in the middle of the den and starts playing by himself. My husband will sit down on the floor with him and play. He gets him all reved up. Harley is a good stress reducer for me and my husband. My youngest son you met, lives at college but he will be home this summer. He called on the phone last thur. and told me - he was actually looking forward to coming home to see Harley again. Our old house kitty used to sleep with him, so I was kind of worried how he would take to the new kitty "taking over". They slept together- or not.. Harley runs around the room and plays sporadically all night! He likes to jump on things that move under the covers. Saturday evening my oldest son came home and all 4 of us were watching and laughing while I showed the guys Harley's acrobatic tricks. Roxie, my 13 yr old Jack Russell Terrier, got jealous and started playing like a silly little kitten with Harley's cat toy in the middle of the floor with me, she was jumping and hopping. I had to have a toy in both hands playing while my guys laughed at us... I wish I had a video of that. Roxie tried to steal Harley's show. Then Harley would streak through the room, running and sliding on my polished wood floor. A lot of the photos I take are of a streak. He likes to run through my legs while I am least expecting it... It trips me, he would be too much for an older person- he likes action! I am so glad he asked me to get him out of that cage, He likes to run. Sometimes it is quiet and then I hear a loud gallop up and down the stairs. I got some new photos of him... they will start to all look alike. He has discovered a sunny spot on the rug in the middle of the den for a good nap to take a break from playing. We have a motion sensor burglar alarm, so when I leave, I put him in the utility room to keep him safe. He likes it in there too, He has a lot of levels to jump on. He has his litter box in there, his nail scratcher, and food. No problem with the furniture. I make a loud buzzer sound that makes him and everyone jump to discourage bad behavior, It works! He really hardly ever meows, when he does, it is very soft. He is not a talker. He comes when I call his name, that is very unusual for a cat. He is very expressive with his tail and eyes. He does not really like to be held,( 4 seconds max) - it is too confining, but he loves to be petted and rubbed. He will lay down on the floor under the glass coffee table in the den when we watch TV and the dog is in my lap. He will jump up to let me know he is there and jump down and lay where we can see him. He hides in plain sight. We all love Harley. Thank you and your friend that nursed him, I am so glad you saved him. - He Really Loves Life and shows Gratitude for Everything! He IS Very Special, Sincerely, Annette Smith" Thanks so much to Annette and family for giving Harley the perfect home! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Huggy Bear
Huggy Bear

Huggy Bear (now Louis) was adopted by Toni and Dennis on 11-15-11. Louis did pretty well from the beginning. Although he did a little hiding under the bed at first, he would come out when Toni was there. Toni's husband was out of town for about the first five days she had Louis, and the first night Dennis came home, Louis was sleeping with him. Louis and their cat Lilly are just the best friends now. They sit with each other next to Toni and just love each other so much. Louis loves to play, and Toni says he likes to be chased. She says Louis is the perfect cat for them. That's real music to my ears. Thanks so much, Dennis and Toni, for giving this wonderful, sweet boy such a loving home!

Hayley
Hayley

Hayley was adopted by Natalie and her daughter on 9-18-11. Natalie says Hayley is doing great, talkative and loves to be pet and massaged. Their other cat, Eskimo, is getting used to her and they like to sleep together under the bed. If Hayley is making noises, Eskimo will run to her to see if she's okay and to protect her. Hayley likes to knead on a blanket at night and rubs her face against Natalie's face. Hayley is one lucky little girl kitty! Thanks Natalie and Alyssa for giving her such a loving home!!

Hershey
Hershey

Hershey was adopted by Elaine on 11-7-10, along with Spitfire (now Spiffy), who belonged to the elderly woman that Mary Kay has been helping for several years. We never got Spitfire on the website, but he's a darling 10 to 11-month old black kitty. Both were a little scared at first, but they are now lap kitties to Elaine. Elaine says both of them are so happy. She says they are both so terrific and it's like they've lived with her forever. I know that Hershey wanted so much more attention at my house than I could give her. Elaine says that Hershey and Spiffy are beginning to become friends and were chasing each other all over the house within about three weeks of her having them. Spiffy sings to Elaine and also kept her company recently in bed when Elaine was sick. Hershey lets the grandkids pet her now, and a couple of times Spiffy has let them pet him also. Elaine is very excited to have these two, and I know these two are very excited to have Elaine. What a perfect home for two perfect kitties. And I am so happy for all involved!
