Snow White
Snow White

Snow White (now Lilly) was adopted by Sheryl, John and children on 3-30-11. Lilly was probably the most popular cat ever at Katy Petco. She is so beautiful, so friendly, so laid back. She got ten phone calls and three applications in a short time. The family feels really lucky to have her. They say she has really added some spunk to their household. Lilly has been putting Goldie, their lab, in her place and is showing her who is boss. I feel that they will become buddies one day. John says Lilly is the most laid back cat they have ever seen. She is the queen cat, and she sleeps wherever she wants to. She has a particular place kind of under a divided table where she likes to spend time. Lilly likes to be under the bed and grab at feet. She also likes to lay on top of the guinea pig cage and touch noses through the cage with the guinea pigs. I'm so happy for Lilly. She was a homeless kitty just a few weeks ago and now has the perfect home!

Sonny
Sonny

Sonny was adopted by Michelene and Delbert on 2-14-11. One of their main worries was whether their cat, Cleo, would get along with another cat because they didn't feel that Cleo liked other cats. Well, after only two weeks, Cleo and Sonny are best friends. They run and play together, and Cleo even washes Sonny's face. Michelene says that she was never so happy to be proven wrong. She says Sonny will plop down in your lap when he's ready or plop down beside you in bed. I understand what she's talking about. He's a "plopper." Sonny loves to go behind the drapes and play with the blinds. They think he has a wonderful, loving personality, and he is also a friendly, adventurous cat and consider him a party of the family. They also love his silky, beautiful coat. Sonny is so lucky to have people who love him so much!

Socks
Socks

Sweet baby boy Socks was adopted by Betty and Hal on 9-26-10. Betty says Socks is just precious and has adapted so well. When Betty says, "Let's go night-night" or "Let's go take a nap," Socks just goes running with her to the bedroom. She says Socks is such a Snuggler. Socks sleeps between Hal's legs while Hal is in his recliner and props his head on Hal's stomach. Socks purrs softly and meows when he's looking for them. He runs and plays in the house with his toys. Betty says, "We just totally adore him." Betty and Hal had to put their 14-year-old kitty down on 9-13, which was totally traumatizing to them. Betty says, "Socks rescued two humans." So glad Socks rescued Betty and Hal and that Betty and Hal rescued Socks. I am so, so happy for all concerned!!

Sabrina
Sabrina

Well, I ask you: Have you ever seen a more relaxed, happy cat in the world? Pat adopted Sabrina on 6-29-10. Pat visisted Sabrina at Katy Petco several times before she adopted her and established a connection with her before she even brought her home. She put Sabrina in her master bath for the first couple of days juust to introduce her to the household and her two little dogs. The next day after adopting Sabrina, she went back to Petco and bought her the very best cat tree they have and Sabrina was in love with not only Pat but the cat tree. Sabrina jumped right on that cat tree and Pat couldn't get her off of it. Sounds like Sabrina went from a household of multiple animals into a household that she could call her own. Pat is such an incredible animal owner and I'm so impressed with her. She likes to leave treats everywhere for Sabrina to make her feel comfortable. Sabrina hasn't made best friends with the dogs yet, but they are comfortable with each other. Sabrina likes to take naps with Pat while lying on Pat's chest and then sleep at night in Pat's closet. The other day Sabrina took a nap on the table while Pat worked a puzzle. Sabrina is also very talkative. Sabrina is in heaven, where a cat should be, and bless Pat for giving her such a wonderful home.

Snickerdoodle
Snickerdoodle

Little Snickerdoodle is one happy and lucky kitten. He was rescued right before the freezing weather in Huntsville at a Whataburger where he was starving. Within just a few weeks of that rescue, he was adopted by Mary and Michael on 2-13-10. Michael had had to put his cat Harley down, who was black. Now Snickerdoodle is displaying some traits that Harley had, which is pretty wild. Snickerdoodle loves his new home and has made himself at home. He loves Mary and Michael and also their twin girls, Taylor and Emily. Snickerdoodle even accidentally locked himself in the bathroom. He closed the bathroom door and pulled out a drawer somehow, and they couldn't get the door open because the drawer was blocking the way. Silly Snickerdoodle! They did get him out. He's also making pretty good friends with Sylvester, their 16-year-old cat. Baby Girl, their other cat, has stopped hissing and is now being kind of cautious. There were several of us involved in Snickerdoodle's rescue, and we're all so, so happy for sweet Snickerdoodle, who probably would not have survived the really cold weather.
