Sam
Sam was adopted by Dixie and her family on 12-12-09. Sam fit right in with the people and animal family right away. Dixie's daughter worried that Sam and their dog wouldn't be friends, but within one week they found them lying together. Sam likes to play like a dog. He even fetches. Sam and their other kitty are playing some. Sam likes to sleep on the bed with the dog and then sometimes on their son's bed. Sam got a great home!
Sammy
Sammy was adopted on 12-12-09 by a wonderful lady named Cindy and her family into her home of two dogs and another cat named Annie. It didn't take Sammy long to become friends with Annie, and he happily coexists with the two dogs. Sammy and Annie took turns laying under the Christmas tree and playing with ornaments. He also did wonderfully with all the family and grandkids that came in for Christmas. Cindy said Sammy acted from the beginning that he had lived there all along. That's what we want to hear!! Happy endings!
Shamaine
Shamaine, now Belle, was adopted by Julie and Keith and their two sons, ages four and six, on 12-6-09, along with Bruce. Shamaine loves living with Julie and Keith and the boys. Belle is a quieter kitty than Bruce, but she really loves having her own house and people after living with a foster with many other animals. She is a lap kitty. She loves to lay on Julie's chest. She's also very good friends with her new cat buddy, Bruce, and they love to play together with little mice, and they love to play hide and seek with each other. Belle, we're so happy for you! You've got that whole family that I'm sure you've always dreamed of.
Sky
This is one of my favorite stories. Sky was six years old and had not had a very happy life at all living on the streets. Also, Sky did not seem very happy in the condo at Petco while she was up for adoption. Sky was adopted by Amparo and her family on 9-20-09. Amparo didn't speak English, but Sky's foster, Maria, speaks Spanish and was able to communicate with Amparo. One thing that Amparo said in her application that touched both mine and Maria's hearts is that she didn't like seeing Sky in "the box" at Petco. This is what Maria has sent me in her follow-up with Sky and Amparo: "I spoke to Amparo. She said Sky is doing very well. Her daughter calls Sky her cat since Sky has bonded with the daughter, and Sky spends most of her time in her daughter's room. Her husband also adores Sky. He said she has the prettiest white coat he has ever seen and that she looks so beautiful that she seems almost like a toy stuffed cat. Every night Amparo's daughter picks up Sky from the couch and takes her to bed with her. They also have an extra litter box, water bowl and food bowl in the daughter's room. Sky enjoys belly rubs and enjoys being carried by her younger son. Sky also enjoys laying on her son's computer desk while he does research on the computer. Amparo said Sky is the queen of the house and the whole family adores her very much."
Thank you, thank you Amparo and family for making Sky the happiest kitty cat in the world!
Sundance
Sundance was adopted by Alicia and her two sons, Aaron and Cole, on 4-7-09. They immediately fell in love with little Sundance. He is such an adorable little guy. Four months after this adoption, Alicia says Sundance is AMAZING and has gotten really big and quite thick. He has the full run of the house and loves to play and terrorize her boys if they move in their sleep (Mary Kay is LOL about this!!). Such a happy ending for a baby that could have had a very sad ending.
