Huggy Bear
Huggy Bear (now Louis) was adopted by Toni and Dennis on 11-15-11. Louis did pretty well from the beginning. Although he did a little hiding under the bed at first, he would come out when Toni was there. Toni's husband was out of town for about the first five days she had Louis, and the first night Dennis came home, Louis was sleeping with him. Louis and their cat Lilly are just the best friends now. They sit with each other next to Toni and just love each other so much. Louis loves to play, and Toni says he likes to be chased. She says Louis is the perfect cat for them. That's real music to my ears. Thanks so much, Dennis and Toni, for giving this wonderful, sweet boy such a loving home!
Maynard
Little Maynard (now Crockett) was adopted by Eric and Laura on 10-29-11. Laura says Crockett is better than expected and also thinks he's a dog. He likes to knead on their yellow lab and German Shepherd. Crockett also gets along well with their other two cats. They call him "Crockett the Rocket" because he's always tearing through the house. He sleeps with Laura, pasted against her body. She said the recent time changed has kind of messed him up though on sleeping habits. Occasionally the dogs sleep in the laundry room and Crockett will sleep with them there. When they're in the bedroom, Crockett sleeps with them there also. Every morning Crockett has treats with the dogs. After Laura showers, they all get back in bed for about 20 minutes of cuddle time! Thanks so much, Laura and Eric, for giving Crockett such a loving, attention-filled home! (Above is a pic of Crockett and his new best buddy!)
Peter Pan
Peter Pan was adopted on 10-20-11 by Cindy. Peter Pan did great from the beginning! He and Cindy's other kitten, Vivian, have become BEST friends. They curl up together when they sleep on the couch. They get in the front window together. They love to sleep together with Cindy. He's a very loving boy! He's also a lap kitty. He likes to climb up the back of the couch and over Cindy's shoulders and then climb down her chest. Silly boy! He plays with lizard toys. And both kitties love the laser light! This is a home come true for both these kitties, and thanks so much, Cindy, for giving them such a wonderful home!
Midget
Midget (nowBuddy) was the luckiest kitten in the world when he was adopted by Mike and Lori on 10-13-11. Buddy follows them everywhere. He is snuggly, cuddly, has a great appetite and has fallen in love with their pit mix, Sophie. he sits on Sophie's chest and kneads. I didn't have a picture of Midget/Buddy because he wasn't on the website, but the picture in the Happy Tails story was taken by Mike and Lori with Buddy on Sophie's chest. They say his motor goes from 0 to 100 in purring. The cats are taking a little while to warm up, but Buddy plays with Sophie and Stella. Buddy lived with four chihuahuas. So he's not scared of the dogs. Buddy's not afraid of the shower and accidentally fell in the tub once when Lori was taking a bath. They say Buddy is a real blessing and is the boss. Buddy loves to ride on Mike's shoulders. Thanks so much, Mike and Lori, for giving Buddy such a wonderful home!
Rowdy
Rowdy (now Popcorn) was adopted by Shannon and Christopher and children on 10-18-11. Popcorn is doing great! They say he is one of the most playful kittens they have ever seen. He was not scared of their greyhound from the beginning! Popcorn lived with an elderly couple with four chihuahuas before Shannon and Christopher. I guess that's why he's doing so well with the greyhound. Their tuxedo kitten and Popcorn are getting along well and playing together and sleep together. Popcorn really likes attention and is a loud purrer! He loves his feather toy and drags it all over the house. Thanks so much, Shannon and family, for giving Popcorn such a fun, loving home!
