Cooper
Cooper (now Chuzzlewitt) was adopted 5-31-13. They just adored him and he adored them from the start. He was okay with the dogs also and let them know who was boss. He spends a whole lot of time in the upstairs area of the house. He even has his own room and shares it with Clare and daughter Elizabeth. He loves to sleep with them also.
He has tons of toys and has also taken over all of Elizabeth's own toys. Elizabeth has a tunnel that Chuzzlewitt loves to run through and chase toys through. Chuzzie and Clare have their own alone time after Elizabeth goes to bed, and he tries to get Clare to chase things through the tunnel also. His favorite toy is a really large toy snake. He takes the snake everywhere. Chuzzie is also so good with Clare's disabled brother and waits for him to get on the computer. It sounds like Chuzzie tries to divide all his love equally amongst everybody. He also loves Clare's parents. Sounds like he gets plenty of attention. I am so thrilled for Chuzzie, and Clare said she couldn't stand to think that Chuzzie was homeless at one time. We feel like Chuzzie was the lottery winner on homes. Thanks so much to Clare and family!
Stormy
Stormy (now Princessa) was adopted by Sandy and family on 7-27-13. Princessa absolutely loves Sandy, daughter Madison and dog son Hero. Princessa is a lap kitty. In the morning she comes looking for Sandy and Madison as they get up. She also watches for Madison when she gets home from school. She also loves, loves Hero, the dog, and will sleep with him for hours and will also sit in Madison's lap for hours. Everybody says Princessa is the perfect kitten and best kitten ever and they just love her to death. Thanks so much, Sandy and family, for giving this formerly homeless kitty a loving and perfect home!
Bennie
Bennie was adopted by Steph and Jim the first part of August, 2013. His name is now Maximus (they call him Max). Steph says Max has a very good appetite. He was very outgoing from day one. He sleeps in bed with Steph and Jim and the dog, Sawyer. Jim wasn't particularly interested in getting another animal, but now Max loves to sleep on Jim's shoulder and Max is crazy about Jim. Max is a little comedian that makes them laugh. Max also loves to play with Sawyer, a lot at night, and they are becoming best friends. Max's favorite toy is the "bouncy mouse." Thanks so much for giving this formerly homeless kitten such a wonderful, loving and fun home!
And this is a follow-up from Steph: "Max" and his 'brother from another mother' Sawyer play everyday. Just like two kids.
At night they sleep right next to each other.
Max also enjoys sunning himself on our balcony, when Sawyer goes onto the balcony for his morning sun nap.
He's curious and loves to remind me every morning at 8:01 AM that his breakfast is 1 minute late!
Hannah
Hannah was adopted by Brenda and family on 7-27-13. Hannah was a little shy at first but is now running the house. She originally would hide in one of her "bomb shelters." Hannah is a lap kitty when it's on her terms. She sleeps in the game room where there are lots of toys and anything that a kitty cat could dream of. One of the dogs, Rufus, wants to play with Hannah, but she's just not quite ready yet. I'm sure she will be soon though. Hannah loves all the cheap stuff instead of expensive toys, like rubber bands and empty toilet paper rolls.
Thanks so much, Brenda and family, for giving Hannah such a wonderful home. It warms all of our hearts to hear she's so happy, including her foster, Debbie.
Shelby
Shelby, a grey tabby with white and almost 3 years old, was adopted on 5-29-13 by Gina and 14-year-old son, Nick. Shelby acclimated to her new owners and home faster than usual. After bringing Shelby home, they put her in a bathroom and spent an hour or so with her there. Then they went into the living room. A short time later, Shelby appeared there, as if she'd gotten bored with the bathroom. Apparently she knows how to open doors.
Shelby quickly took to her owners and immediately found her favorite sleeping place. It's right next to Nick in his bed at night. Shelby also follows Nick around the house, and they've bonded from the start. Great news because Shelby was adopted to be Nick's cat, and he selected her.
