Harley

Here's what Annette has to say about Harley: "Hi Joy Ann. Life is one big tummy rub at the Smith House! He is eating well and pooping etc like he should. When my husband and I are eating dinner... Harley drags his toy out in the middle of the den and starts playing by himself. My husband will sit down on the floor with him and play. He gets him all reved up. Harley is a good stress reducer for me and my husband. My youngest son you met, lives at college but he will be home this summer. He called on the phone last thur. and told me - he was actually looking forward to coming home to see Harley again. Our old house kitty used to sleep with him, so I was kind of worried how he would take to the new kitty "taking over". They slept together- or not.. Harley runs around the room and plays sporadically all night! He likes to jump on things that move under the covers. Saturday evening my oldest son came home and all 4 of us were watching and laughing while I showed the guys Harley's acrobatic tricks. Roxie, my 13 yr old Jack Russell Terrier, got jealous and started playing like a silly little kitten with Harley's cat toy in the middle of the floor with me, she was jumping and hopping. I had to have a toy in both hands playing while my guys laughed at us... I wish I had a video of that. Roxie tried to steal Harley's show. Then Harley would streak through the room, running and sliding on my polished wood floor. A lot of the photos I take are of a streak. He likes to run through my legs while I am least expecting it... It trips me, he would be too much for an older person- he likes action! I am so glad he asked me to get him out of that cage, He likes to run. Sometimes it is quiet and then I hear a loud gallop up and down the stairs. I got some new photos of him... they will start to all look alike. He has discovered a sunny spot on the rug in the middle of the den for a good nap to take a break from playing. We have a motion sensor burglar alarm, so when I leave, I put him in the utility room to keep him safe. He likes it in there too, He has a lot of levels to jump on. He has his litter box in there, his nail scratcher, and food. No problem with the furniture. I make a loud buzzer sound that makes him and everyone jump to discourage bad behavior, It works! He really hardly ever meows, when he does, it is very soft. He is not a talker. He comes when I call his name, that is very unusual for a cat. He is very expressive with his tail and eyes. He does not really like to be held,( 4 seconds max) - it is too confining, but he loves to be petted and rubbed. He will lay down on the floor under the glass coffee table in the den when we watch TV and the dog is in my lap. He will jump up to let me know he is there and jump down and lay where we can see him. He hides in plain sight. We all love Harley. Thank you and your friend that nursed him, I am so glad you saved him. - He Really Loves Life and shows Gratitude for Everything! He IS Very Special, Sincerely, Annette Smith" Thanks so much to Annette and family for giving Harley the perfect home! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
