Annabelle
Annabelle

Annabelle was adopted by Sherry and Carter on 3-24-13. They had adopted cats from CFL before, Wendy & Tinkerbelle, who were to be their daughter Alexandra's cats, and now Alexandra is away at school where Tinkerbelle and Wendy happily and proudly live. Sherry saw Annabelle and fell in love with her. She put Annabelle in the bathroom for a while to acclimate, but after just a short time Annabelle was having none of that. She acted like she was always their cat from the beginning. Annabelle watches what the other cats are doing, and the boy cats give her kisses and bathe her. She body bumps the other cats. Sherry says she plays like there's no tomorrow and loves the catnip sausage links. Sherry also says Annabelle is the youngest herdsman. Uh, duh, Ms. Annabelle had a little bit of a begging-for-food problem at Mary Kay's house, but Sherry and Carter have trained her not to do that. I need to get Sherry and Carter to come to my house and teach a couple of other cats a few things. Thanks, Sherry and Carter, for giving Annabelle, a formerly homeless cat, such a wonderful, loving home. You are great pet owners!!

Abraham and Lincoln

Abraham and Lincoln were adopted by Lucy, husband, son and daughter Daisy on 7-7-12. They were a little scared at first, but then they began eating well and exploring. They lover all their little toys, the glitter ball, the plastic balls with bells in them and their feather toy. Lucy and family had not had pets as adults, and she was surprised to find out the kitties were so clean, and I'm sure she's happy about that. They love to sit on their son's laptop computer. Lucy says they eat next to them at their own little table. They do like to sit in everybody's laps and they purr a whole lot, especially when they want to be held. Thanks, Lucy, and everybody for giving these formerly homeless kittens such a wonderful home. I'm sure they're so grateful!

Angie

Angie was adopted by Cynthia on 6-12-11. She pretty much started making herself at home from the start. Cynthia's other cats are taking a little while to warm up to her, but it's much better. Angie's name is now Zuzu, named after the little girl in "It's A Wonderful Life." Cynthia says Zuzu is very sweet and affectionate, very much a lap cat and sleeps with Cynthia along with Frosty, the 15-lb cat. Something strange happened a few days after Cynthia adopted Zuzu. Cynthia felt a lump on Zuzu's hip and it scared her. She took Zuzu to the vet, and the vet discovered a BB inside her. Luckily it was not deep into the skin, and the vet was able to get the BB out with some local anesthetic. I'm so glad Zuzu has someone who loves her enough to discover that and take her to the vet. I'm sure Zuzu is much more comfortable now. Cynthia will send a picture in the next few days, as Zuzu was not on the website and I didn't have a picture. Thanks, Cynthia, for giving Zuzu such a wonderful, loving home!!

Adrian
Adrian

Adrian (now Bear) was adopted by Julie and Robert on 5-29-11. Little Bear was being fed by an elderly woman in a bad area because his owners just moved off and left him and he wanted so much attention. Well, he is certainly getting it now! Julie says Bear just "flops" down, like I cannot go any further without getting attention or petting. It's like: You must stop and pet me. She says he's a drama queen in that respect. Bear is playing a lot with their 14-year-old cat. He pretty much got along with the other cats from the beginning, and he doesn't mind the dog either. Their three-year-old cat was a little offended at first because he was "the baby," but I'm sure Bear will win him over. Bear and the 14-year-old also lay in cat beds together. Bear loves to play. Julie says he has the loudest purr and is a head butter. He sleeps right next to Julie at night. Bear is one lucky kitty cat! Thanks, Julie and Robert, for making Bear so happy!

Annie
Annie

Annie was adopted by James and his family on 5-5-11. Annie pretty much owned the place from the very beginning. Annie is very playful and into everything. She's a lap cat and a very affectionate cat. Mom and Annie sit together on the couch to watch a movie. Pretty much wherever you're sitting is where Annie will be. Annie sleeps anywhere but usually with James' brother, which is pretty great considering his brother was not much of a cat person before Annie came along. Everybody in the family is really crazy about Annie. What a lucky kitty! So glad Annie has such a wonderful home and family!
