Daphne
Daphne

Daphne was adopted by Jeff, Lee and kids Justin, Cadee and Jonathan on 1-25-15. Daphne just made her outgoing self right at home, checking things out, running up and down the stairs. You see, Daphne did not have stairs at her foster home. She immediately started sleeping with Cadee at night and hangs out with the family when they're all together. Daphne loves to chase balls when the family is eating. She didn't care for the dog much at first, but now they're respecting each other and staying in the same room. I think they'll start playing with each other soon. Daphne is great with all of the kids. Thanks to everyone in the family for giving this formerly homeless little girl a wonderful, loving, playful home!

Delilah - big-time lap kitty and bed buddy
Delilah - big-time lap kitty and bed buddy

Delilah was adopted by Karess on 2-17-14. I have never heard a person so excited about her cat. It sure makes my heart sing. She went on about how loving and perfect Delilah is. Delilah sleeps in the bed with Karess next to her face, and if Karess is on the couch, Delilah is there. She said Delilah is very good about not jumping on counters. When Karess gets home from work, Delilah is waiting at the door for her. Delilah also loves all the wet food she gets from Karess. I'm saving the funniest and best for last. Karess lives in a high rise and has floor-to-ceiling windows. Delilah loves looking out the windows. When she sees cars going by, Delilah starts running down the windows as if trying to chase the cars. Karess thinks it's so funny. Karess, thanks so much for giving this wonderful girl her own home. A lot of people missed out on her because she didn't like being at the Adoption Center at Petco and just sat there, even though I described what a wonderful personality she had. I'm so happy for her. She has wanted her own home for a very long time.

Duchess of Snugglesworth

Here's what Duchess/Lacey Ann has to say about her new home! "Hi, my name is Lacey Ann formerly known as Dutchess of Snugglesworth. I love my new home & my new mommy & daddy, Perry & Debbie. I have a big ole house all to myself to run & play in! I get lots of exercise running up & down the stairs. I love to chase the brightly colored balls my daddy bought me and oh yea, that laser light, it’s awesome! There’s lots of nooks & crannies upstairs where I can catch a little cat nap when I’m pooped. I have a big comfy chair in the bedroom where I sleep half the night and the other half I sleep between my mommy & daddy in bed until I wake up & have to chase that white tip on my tail! I also love to lay in the window & soak up the sun & watch the many birds & those lizards in the flowerbed. They keep me entertained for hours! I love my new home & I’m just about to get my new mommy & daddy trained just the way I want them….. I get belly rubs on demand, and that’s a lot! Plus all the brushings I want. You know a girl has to have a silky smooth coat…..hmmm…there’s real diva potential here. And mommy & daddy, well they are very happy too. Since I came to live with them, they said I’ve really made this house a Home again. I really thank my foster mommy, Mary Kay, for taking such good care of me & finding me my very own perfect forever home! Gotta go, time for a little cat nap." Thanks so much, Perry and Debbie, for giving Lacey Ann a long-awaited, well-deserved loving, wonderful home!

Dune and Flynn
Dune and Flynn

This is Kent's wonderful story after adopting Dune & Flynn: "After the loss of my long-time friend, Sammy; I decided that the best remedy was to give another kitty a home. After a quick search on the Web, Dune and Flynn came into view. It was obvious from Joy Ann’s write-up that the boys were well attended, but they needed a permanent home. Deciding it would be best to keep the two brothers together, I contacted Joy Ann. After a filling out the in-depth adoption form and Joy Ann receiving positive feedback from my references, we set a date. Upon arrival, the boys were a bit bashful. Joy Ann spent time with them to let them get accustomed to their new surroundings. We set them up in our media room which can be darkened and is secure. After a tearful goodbye, Joy Ann was on her way and I returned to the secured area where we left Dune and Flynn. They were nowhere to be found. I mean nowhere. Knowing that cats are masters at stealth, I did not panic. I just left them to their own devices for a while. For the next day or so, I could hear them thumping and bumping around in the room next to my office, but when I opened the door to visit them, they were gone! I did eventually find their favorite individual hidey-holes and would reach in and pet them. The immediate purring let me know that it was just a matter of time before they stopped hiding from me. Dune, being the extrovert, was the first to make brief cameo appearances as I watched TV. After a couple of days he hung around a bit more, after a week he was asking for attention. Flynn has been about a week behind Dune. One night, he crawled up into my lap and squirmed around while I gave him a good rubbing and scratching. He obviously loved every minute of it. However, it would be a few days more before he felt comfortable hanging around in the open while I was in the room. We have now completed week two. Dune follows me around everywhere with his soft purring-meow to let me know his exact location. Being only a year old, he cannot stay put; so holding has a shelf life of no more than 2-3 seconds. If I sit down to watch TV, he will squirm around in my lap for petting and occasionally fall asleep there. Flynn has repeated his earlier visit a couple of times and has also fallen asleep in my lap. While in my office, Dune will make regular high-speed passes across my desk between me and the computer screen as I type on the keyboard. Flynn usually zips into the office, then zips back out with Dune in hot pursuit. They now thump and bump in madcap chase scenes worthy of any Buster Keaton movie in the media room, my office, and the hall between the two. These are the only carpeted areas of the house, so grip is fabulous and they use it to good effect. One oddity is that on day one, Dune found an embroidered ribbon in a closet. The floor is covered in various cat toys, but his favorite is clearly the ribbon. He love to put it in the water dish. There is no telling what is going on in his kitty mind as he carefully paws the stray ends just so to make sure the ribbon is fully immersed; but it is obviously a very important and serious task that must be accomplished with great precision. He also loves to drag the ribbon over to me, so that we can play a bit of tug-o-war with it. Flynn sometimes gets into the act and the two of them tussle over the ribbon. He also loves to chase Mr. Dot, which lives in the laser pointer pen. When he hears the click of the on button, he frantically looks around the room for Mr. Dot’s appearance. At bedtime (for me), Dune will often hop up for love and a snooze. During the night, he and Flynn will wake me with their wrestling and chases in the bedroom. When tired, Dune often burrows in next to me for a few minutes to recharge his batteries. No telling where Flynn goes. I take it as a sign that they are getting more comfortable with other areas of the house. Today, I interrupted their play to snap a few photos (attached). Hope you like them. Kent"

Daniel
Daniel

Daniel was adopted by Shannon, Kendall and son Gabriel on 2-20-12. Shannon says Daniel is doing great. He has become very close to their other kitty. They're like brothers. They run through the house and pounce on each other. He also loves playing with Gabriel and also loves playing with the feathered ribbon. He doesn't want to sit in your lap, but he does love to sleep with Shannon and Kendall. Thanks, Shannon, Kendall and Gabriel for giving Daniel that wonderful loving home that he deserves!
