Cher
Cher

Cher (now Jezebel) was adopted by Johnnye and Bob on 1-2-11. They had adopted another Cats for Life cat, Jack, back in July and were also really attracted to little Jezebel, as she was quite active in the condo at Katy Petco. Jezebel pretty much made herself at home from the beginning and took over the household. Johnnye says she doesn't seem to need anybody but needs everybody. She is really attached to their three-year-old cat, Apollo, and likes to sleep with him. She saw the two of them sleeping together the other day in Bob's lap. Apollo really loves Jezebel. And Jack gets along with everybody too and does his own thing also. This is a very happy, harmonious household, and we're so glad Jack and Jezebel are so happy in their new home!

Contessa
Contessa

Sweet Contessa (now Kate) was adopted by Lupe, John and their son on 12-13-10. I was afraid Contessa might be pretty shy, but she has done really well. She sleeps by Lupe's side while Camilla, their other kitty, sleeps by her feet. Kate and Camilla are starting to get along at this point, which is great. Kate was picked out by their son, but Kate is mostly following Lupe around because Lupe is home much of the day. Kate loves to be carried around and she purrs a lot. Lupe said she sounds like a tractor! Lupe says Kate is eating well and plays all the time and jumps all around. Lupe says they are so, so happy with Kate. I could tell Lupe was really quite taken by this little girl kitty, and nothing makes a foster mom more happy than that! Kate, you got a great home!

Chrissy
Chrissy

Chrissy (now Lu Lu) was adopted by Cindy and Mike on 7-18-10, who had two older cats and a sweet kitten they had rescued named Jonah. They really love her and here's what they said about the beginning: "Jonah and Lu Lu took about 60 seconds to get acquainted and then they played hard for the rest of the evening. Today they have been like long-time old buddies. Just too cute. My other two older cats never even hissed when they saw her." Then a day later: "Our little Lu Lu acts as if she has always lived here. My cats all have the run of the house. The older cats accepted her immediately, and she accepted them, not a second's worth of problems. And she and Jonah are never far from each other. They never get out of each other's sight. He is so all boy in his actions, and she is such a feminine little thing. They are just adorable together. Yes, Lu Lu won the kitty lotto twice, the first time when you found her and the second time when she came to live with us. She will live the life of royalty here." I am so, so happy for Lu Lu and Jonah! Mike and Cindy are wonderful!

Carrie
Carrie

Carrie was adopted by Jennifer and Michael on 6-26-10. Carrie is a loving but shy cat, and it took her a little while to get used to everything and Jennifer and Michael's dogs. She has really become a part of the family. They bought Carrie her own bed and she now sleeps either on the bed with them or in the special bed they bought for Carrie. Carrie and their older cat have not become fast buddies yet but tolerate each other and the hissing has stopped. Carrie is cautious with the dogs. But we think in the future that it's possible Carrie could become friends with the older cat and dogs. Who knows? Carrie is very playful and likes to be picked up. Their nephew came to visit and Carrie got in the bed with him for a while and visited. Carrie is very much a lap cat also. Carrie follows Jennifer in her closet every morning and does a Figure 8 around her legs as Jennifer is picking out clothes. Carrie was rather intimidated by the large number of animals at her foster mom's house and didn't get that much attention because of the number of animals. Now she really loves all the attention she gets from two people and only a small number of animals. Carrie is so, so happy, and me too!

Crystal
Crystal

Gemma and her husband and two older children adopted Crystal on 3-14-10. At first Crystal stayed in Gemma's son's room to get her acclimated, but now she's out with the whole family and sitting in everybody's lap and playing some with their ten-year-old calico, Mittens. Gemma says Crystal is very playful. Crystal was kind of a shy kitty, but it sounds like this family has drawn her out of her shell. Gemma says Crystal is very sweet and she really loves her. Crystal has a great home!
